Tim Curley
Tim founded PartnerAlliances after spending most of his 15 year career in senior business development, sales, and strategic alliance roles at Sanyo, Nortel Networks, Nogatech Inc, and MegaChips Corporation. Tim has extensive 'start-up' experience - serving as VP of Sales and Marketing at Nogatech (DSP Group video ASIC spin-off) where he led the ground zero effort and helped the company achieve significant sales through partnerships with Intel, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Sony and Sanyo. These achievements served as the foundation for the Company's successful IPO and subsequent $200M acquisition by Zoran Corporation. He then served as VP of Business Development at MegaChips Corporation, Japan's pioneering research-driven, fabless company building leading edge graphic controllers and video compression technologies for Nintendo and Sony. Tim was responsible for helping launch MegaChips US subsidiary (Digital Image Inc) while managing the strategic alliance, business development, and sales teams with overall responsibility for all US partner, OEM, and direct sales revenue - contributing to MegaChips record breaking IPO in Japan.
Later, while serving as Senior Director of Global Strategic Alliances for Nortel, Tim managed key relationships with Accenture and CGE&Y, and lead the
Nortel|Oracle alliance initiative to jointly create new markets between
telecom service providers and commercial enterprises.
Tim's alliance consulting expertise is focused on intellectual property transfer, mobile middleware, wireless telecom service providers (US carriers), and mobile handheld device manufacturers.
Tim earned a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Magna Cum Laude, from Menlo College.
